Education background/teaching experience
B.A. in education from Pacific Lutheran University
Taught for Portland Christian Schools (Vancouver campus) for 24 years—various grade levels from 4th—9th.

Goals/philosophy
My main goal is to be a life-long learner. Adventures and experiences in both my personal and professional life have taught me primarily that I still have much to learn. Teaching is my passion; learning is my objective. After 31 years of teaching, I find I still love working with young minds and hearts as much as I did my first year. I believe that when students are in an environment where they feel safe and accepted, both physically and emotionally, they can be free to explore their abilities and become more aware of their personal growth. I believe young people need to be challenged and provided the tools that will enable them to take ownership and be successful. Besides teaching and learning, I highly value God, family relationships, friendships, and the resources we have available to us.
Free time
Reading, kayaking, hiking, and most of all… playing with my precious grandson!
Family
Three grown children: 2 daughters ages 31 and 29, one son age 24 and one grandson-almost 3 years old.
The Mission of CAM is to support and promote the academic success, positive character development and acquisition of marketplace skills for all students enrolled in our schools by building strong partnerships with families.
